Accessibility and Special Needs

The Mobile Civic Center is committed to accommodating the needs of individuals with disabilities for all events in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. For guests with special needs, the Civic Center has a limited number of wheelchairs to transport guests to their event. To arrange transport, contact the Security Office prior to an event at (251) 208-7187.

During an event, guests can ask the closest Mobile Civic Center team member for assistance.

Accessible Parking

The Mobile Civic Center offers accessible parking in our parking lot and our front drive. Spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Airport

The Mobile Civic Center is serviced by the Mobile Regional and Downtown Airports and is accessible by public transportation, car service, and taxi from all airports.

Alcohol Policy

All guests may be required to show ID to purchase alcohol. Guests are not permitted to bring in alcoholic beverages from outside and may not leave with alcohol purchased inside The Mobile Civic Center. Management reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.

Animal Policy

Service animals for guests with disabilities are welcome at The Mobile Civic Center and must remain on leash or in a harness. All other animals are prohibited.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

AEDs are located in the following areas:

  • Arena first aid room
  • Theater first aid room
  • Security Office on non-event days.

ATM

The Mobile Civic Center ATM is located in the arena lobby (northeast corner).

Baby Changing Stations

All restrooms are equipped with baby changing stations. Please see Restrooms for a list of the locations.

Banners and Signs

Please notify your Event Manager if a banner or sign will be needed for your event. Improper notification and hanging of signs could incur a fee for damage.

Bag Policy

Bags will be permitted throughout the facility. Guests entering The Mobile Civic Center are subject to search at the discretion of Management. Please note that bag policies are subject to change based on event.

Coat Check

Upon request The Mobile Civic Center can provide coat check for your event. Check with your Event Manager for more details. We are not responsible for any property that is lost, stolen, or damaged.

Concessions

Concession stands are open for select events. When open, these stands offer a variety of food and beverages for purchase. Cash, credit and debit payments are taken.

Elevators/Escalators

  • The passenger elevator is located in the Arena Lobby – southwest corner
  • The Escalator is located in the Arena Lobby
  • The Mobile Civic Center Theatre does NOT have an escalator/elevator. For those needing accomodations, please contact the box office to purchase accessible seating.

Emergency Evacuation

The Mobile Civic Center team members have been trained in emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures. Evacuation routes may change due to the location of the emergency. In the event of an emergency, please listen for direction via the intercom system and follow the direction of the Civic Center team for your safety and the safety of others.

First Aid

The Mobile Civic Center is equipped with standard First Aid supplies. During public events and at the discretion of event planners, certified First Aid personnel will be available. In the event of an emergency, please go to the first available team member for assistance.

Food and Beverages

All catering and concessions are provided exclusively in-house by SAVOR…Mobile. Outside food and/or beverages of any kind are not allowed.

Guest Drop-Off

The Civic Center is equipped with a shuttle drive in front of the building.

Guest Services

The Mobile Civic Center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Any guest in need of assistance during an event should seek any Civic Center team member throughout the facility.

Hosting an Event

The Mobile Civic Center is the perfect place to host your next event. For more information on hosting your event or party at our facilities, please call our Sales Department at (251) 208-2100.

Inclement Weather Policy

The Mobile Civic Center rarely cancels or postpones events due to inclement weather. Should a decision be made to cancel or postpone an event, this information will be posted immediately on our website and social media channels.

Lodging

The Mobile Civic Center is located in the heart of downtown Mobile, AL with numerous hotels within walking distance. For a comprehensive list of hotels and attractions, please visit Visit Mobile Alabama.

Lost and Found

Please contact our 24/7 Security Department at (251) 208-7187 to inquire about the possible recovery of any lost items. If you have lost an item while at an event, please speak with an Event Services Representative, Security Officer, or Civic Center Manager for further assistance.

Lost Children or Companions

If you become separated from your child or companion during an event, please seek the nearest Event Services Representative, Security Officer, or Civic Center team member for assistance.

Mother's/Nursing Room

Limited number of Mother's /Nursing Room are available. Please seek the nearest Event Service team member for assistance.

Parking

There are many parking options for The Mobile Civic Center. Please visit our Directions & Parking page for additional information.

Restrooms

Men and Women's restrooms may be found at the following locations in The Mobile Civic Center:

  • Arena - 1st Floor: East concourse, west concourse
  • Arena - 2nd Floor: East concourse, west concourse
  • Expo Hall: Expo Hall Lobby
  • Theater – 1st floor: Theater Lobby
  • Theater – 2nd floor: North east and north west

Security

The Mobile Civic Center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Any guest in need of assistance during an event should notify an Event Services Representative, Security Officer, or any other Civic Center Manager. If you see something, say something, please report suspicious activity to our security team at (251) 208-7187.

Smoking

There is no smoking/vaping permitted anywhere in The Mobile Civic Center. Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas. This policy is strictly enforced.

Strollers

If needed, guests may bring strollers to an event at The Mobile Civic Center. We ask that elevators are used in lieu of escalators when operating a stroller.
